7 Noticeable Signs of a Hormonal Imbalance

Different organs and glands receive signals from the brain to carry out its functions. Brain uses hormones to this purpose and they act like chemical messengers. Hormones and its balanced production has a profound impact on how you feel in your day to day life. You may experience a feeling of irritability, memory problems, bloating and other noticeable symptoms due to excessive or low production of certain hormones. Most people do not know the cause of their irritability or the feeling of bloating or ups and downs.  Below are 7 symptoms that points to a hormonal imbalance. Our general conception is that hormonal imbalance is a problem related to women only. But it is a problem that happens to people at any age and effect both men and women.

1.  Sleep Problems

Sleep is an essential natural process for good health and proper functioning of our body. The production of hormone progesterone is highly related to your sleeping pattern. If its level is lower than usual, you may feel difficulty falling into sleep or stay asleep in a deep level. You will have to stay continuously in a feeling of not getting enough sleep or rest you need due to its low level. Even though sleep problems due to hormonal imbalance mostly effect women, an imbalance in endocrine effects both men and women.

2.  Acne Breakout

Acne is a common problem experienced by most people. A break out of chronic acne that won’t clear up is easily is a sign of acne due to hormonal imbalance. Imbalance of the hormone called androgen cause this condition. Excess production of androgen cause the overworking of oil glands. This clog your pores and cause this type of acne. When there is too much androgen hormone and not enough estrogen hormone in the body, women might experience severe acne breakout.

Generally life habits, toxic exposures and hormonal imbalances (inherited or acquired) can cause foggy memory. When you experience difficulty remembering things or attention problems, it may be due to a hormonal imbalance. You can feel a fogginess in your head area and feel hard to remember things or concentrate on your work. These symptoms are also due to hormone related conditions like thyroid disease.
