Study shows that persistent exposure to organic pollutants influences maternal thyroid system and causes thyroid disorders in mother and child pairs. It is significantly associated with thyroid hormone stimulants and thyroid hormones.

In human studies, disruption of thyroid homeostasis has been indicated. The study was targeted to investigate the effects of environmental concentrations and mixtures, in regard to maternal and infant thyroid function. Read the Study
